Mission Statement

Our mission is to empower home-based daycare providers, under-resourced preschools, and early elementary grades with a high-quality Spanish language learning curriculum—offered at no cost. We support the educators who care for our youngest learners by giving them tools that inspire learning, bring joy into their classrooms, and honor their essential work. A second language is best learned at an early age and every child deserves access to joyful education rooted in music, puppetry, storytelling, and real human connection.

Why This Matters

Across the country, educators caring for our youngest learners, whether in home day cares, preschools, or early elementary classrooms, are the foundation of our educational system and set the tone for the future of every child’s learning. These teachers work tirelessly and give their whole heart to our youngest learners, often with very limited resources. Many cannot afford a professional curriculum, even though they care for children during the most formative years of life.

Today, many face:

• Increased operating costs
• Reduced income
• Loss of federal and state funding
• Overwhelming administrative requirements
• Little to no curriculum or training

They deserve access to quality education for the children they serve.

Who We Are

Let’s Play in Spanish Foundation was created by Susy Dorn, a Peruvian-American early childhood educator who has spent more than 25 years bringing Spanish to thousands of children through an immersive, musical learning experience.

With hundreds of original songs, puppet shows, educational videos, lesson plans, flashcards and worksheets, Susy’s curriculum has supported parents, preschools, child-care providers and schools across the country, inspiring joyful learning and meaningful language development.

Today, the Let’s Play in Spanish Foundation continues this legacy by ensuring that financially vulnerable child-care programs, preschools, and early elementary classrooms receive this complete curriculum at no cost, so every child has access to quality Spanish education from the very beginning.
